Mark Towler is the Founder and Chairman of Phase 2. His personal philosophy—to have a positive impact on everyone we interact with—shapes the company’s purpose and culture.
A software industry veteran since the late ’80s, Mark has helped build and lead teams across Texas, California, and Oklahoma. His proudest accomplishment at Phase 2 is creating a culture that attracts and retains top talent. In 2023, he led the company’s transition to a 100% employee-owned ESOP, ensuring that those who build the solutions share in their success.
A North Carolina native and Appalachian State graduate, Mark has called Oklahoma City home for almost 30 years. He’s a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma and Leadership OKC, an active community leader, and an adventurer at heart—having co-led a cross-country bike tour for YoungLife and summited Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Widowed after 34 years of marriage to his late wife, Lisa, Mark later remarried and now shares life with his wife, Gene. Together they are building a life centered on service, family, and adventure. He’s the proud father of three, as well as a daughter in law and soon-to-be son in law, a stepfather to two, and grandfather to two. His hobbies include golf, exercise, reading, and improv comedy.
