The Challenge
A global library partner with 400+ libraries was reliant on a third-party white-labeled app solution that lacked the customization and modern library features that their patrons needed. Their existing mobile presence couldn't support critical functionality like parental controls and personalized family reading experiences. There was a greater opportunity for the partner to control the capabilities, customizations and appearance of their apps.
Phase2_Approach
Phase2 rebuilt the mobile experience from the ground up, designing custom white-label apps that each library could brand as their own. By integrating with the existing admin platform their customers were already familiar with to provide a seamless experience within their suite of product offerings. We approached the modernization with deep care for the user experience, particularly focusing on a personalized look and feel for every library, while providing new, highly requested capabilities such as family profiles where parents could manage their children's accounts and facilitate their reading journey.
