The support team at Phase 2 is a critical part of our future success, and we are looking for the absolute best people out there. We take the success of our clients incredibly seriously. We feel their joy and we feel their pain. Are you up for the challenge?
As a member of the support team, you’ll serve as an expert in the software products we create, directly help our clients work through technical difficulties, and provide updates to the products as needed. This role will triage and respond to incoming support requests, monitor the system performance, log performance issues, as well as provide small bug fixes and product enhancements.
Unlike traditional support teams, you won’t be yelled at by angry customers, apologizing nonstop for broken features or lost in a labyrinth of poorly written code. There are a variety of duties in this role; providing updates to our products such as implementing critical third party security updates, system updates, code deployments, proactive instrumentation, ad-hoc data extracts, as well as providing small bug fixes and enhancements.
We take great pride in our customer service and engineering abilities at Phase 2 and expect you to be a shining example of that when interacting with our clients. Technical and communication skills are needed to be successful in this position. At the end of the day, Phase 2 exists to make people’s lives better: our clients, our co-workers, and our community. As a support engineer, you will play a large role in this and help our clients build better business with custom crafted software.
This is where we find we can be the most flexible in our criteria. If you can demonstrate you're a great fit in the rest of the areas we care about, we have a ton of room in this aspect. You won't hear us say that you need 5 years of experience in 20 different technology stacks. That's something you've probably seen in a hundred different job postings, and we think that's short sighted. If you feel like you'd fit in well based on what you've read so far, don't let the number of years you've been doing this keep you from contacting us.
